Dolly Parton's Glastonbury 'miming' gets Kay Burley slinging the mud

Dolly Parton may have won universal front-page acclaim for her performance at Glastonbury – but Sky News veteran Kay Burley wasn't impressed. She accused the singer on Twitter of miming on stage, adding "how disappointing":

Oh, Dolly is miming. How disappointing

After protests from comedian Jason Manford and others, Burley added:

“@JasonManford: @KayBurley noooooooo?!?! Please don't say she is! x” well, Jolene was deffo helped along.... X

Boy George hit back, threatening to tell all about Burley, which she retweeted, adding jokily "you bitch":

You bitch "@BoyGeorge: @KayBurley Leave our Dolly alone! Or I will tell about the fake tan and insteps too! Lol!”

Burley seemed unconvinced by Stephen Fry's explanation of the "miming":

Hmmm... "@stephenfry: That's not miming. If it appears not always to lip-sync that’s an HD live processor issue. You see it with reporters.

Typically, Burley did not let it lie, retweeting later:
