A 30-year-old man is being questioned about the murder of a teenage girl in Limavady, County Londonderry. | |
The body of 17-year-old Wendy McAteer was found at Blackburn Path in the town at about 2230 GMT on Wednesday. The path runs between two schools. | |
It is unclear how she was killed, but police have appealed "to witnesses to an assault". | |
A detective said she was last spotted drinking with friends in a local bar on Wednesday afternoon. | |
Miss McAteer is believed to be a past-pupil of St Mary's High School, one of the schools near where her body was found. | |
