Version 0 of 1.

Prince Charles and Chancellor Gordon Brown are expected to urge people to get more involved with charities.

The prince will talk at a Treasury summit later, in his role as the president of Business in the Community.

He will say businesses have to be more socially responsible, and will call for businesses and the voluntary and public sectors to work better together.

The chancellor is expected to call for one million more people to give up more of their time for charitable causes.

Mr Brown will say it should be the norm for every person to give some of their income to charity.

He will call for students to volunteer, as well as for employers to encourage their staff to do so.

He is also expected to discuss the Community Mark - a planned award that would recognise the commitment made by companies to invest in their communities.
