A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of teenager Etem Celebi in north-east London. A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of teenager Etem Celebi.
Etem, 17, who was of Turkish origin, was shot on the Smalley Road Estate in Stoke Newington last Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene. Etem, 17, was shot dead in Stoke Newington, north-east London, last Wednesday.
Two others, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, were also arrested on Tuesday in relation to the murder. The youth appeared at Thames Youth Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on 27 November.
The 17-year-old who has been charged is from north London. He is due before Thames Youth Court on Wednesday. The teenager is also charged with possessing a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Etem, who was from Stoke Newington, was the 23rd teenager to die in a knife or gun killing in London this year.

Etem was a semi-professional football player who represented Leyton Football Club and attended Stoke Newington High School.
