Version 0 of 1.

Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman is to become the latest politician to take to the airwaves with a regular phone-in radio show.

She will answer listeners' questions in a monthly show on LBC, the London-based station which already has programmes with the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, and the capital's mayor, Boris Johnson.

Harman will make her debut alongside regular presenter Iain Dale on 14 July. Further shows are lined up for 8 September and 14 October.

She said: "I'm delighted to be taking part in a regular phone-in with Iain Dale. "LBC opens up the airwaves to people all over the country and lets them question and challenge politicians of all parties."

The station's managing editor, James Rea, said: "Harriet is the latest signing in our line up of political leaders, joining Nick Clegg and Boris Johnson, taking calls from LBC listeners.

"LBC puts listeners at the heart of its shows giving them a platform to drive debate, express opinions and share stories. We will continue to invite senior politicians and people in authority on to our shows for our listeners to hold to account."
