Version 0 of 1. A seven-year-old boy has died after falling from cliffs at Ballycastle in Northern Ireland. Coastguard rescue teams, RNLI lifeboats and helicopters from the police and Royal Navy joined the search for the youngster after he went missing from a holiday park at about 7.30pm on Sunday evening. A spokesman for Belfast Coastguard said he was found at the base of cliffs near Silvercliffs Holiday Village in County Antrim and airlifted to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine. The cause of his death has not been confirmed and the boy has not yet been named. An investigation has been launched by the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Ballycastle, a small seaside town, is known for its spectacular views across to Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. |
