Six baton bearers are to carry it in the city including Laura Beardsmore in Headingley. She was selected for her achievements in the martial art aikido. Six people are to carry it in the city including Leeds' Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams who is to be the first baton bearer.

First ever gold
Nicola Adams said: "It's a really good honour for Leeds and it's great to carry it."
Adams won the first ever Olympic women's boxing gold medal at the London 2012 Games.
She met the baton at her old boxing gym based in the Burmantofts area of Leeds.
Laura Beardsmore is to carry the baton in Headingley. She was selected for her achievements in the martial art aikido.
