Strictly exit for GMTV's Garraway
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/entertainment/7100977.stm Version 0 of 1. Breakfast TV presenter Kate Garraway has been voted off celebrity dance contest Strictly Come Dancing. She became the seventh celebrity to be ejected from the BBC One show after coming in the bottom two with ex-England footballer John Barnes. Garraway and partner Anton Du Beke's footwork in the Paso Doble was called "mummified" by judge Bruno Toniolo. It was the GMTV host's first time in the show's "dance-off", despite coming bottom with the judges five times. Head judge Len Goodman said: "Like the Perils of Pauline, every week a disaster but she always comes back. I liked the steps but it lacked a bit of fire and drama." The judges were unanimous in their decision to vote the pair off the show. The programme sees celebrities paired off with professional dancers, who attempt to impress viewers and judges with their skills. Singer Alesha Dixon, TV presenter Gethin Jones, model and actress Kelly Brook, Scottish rugby star Kenny Logan, actress Letitia Dean and actor Matt D'Angelo remain in the series along with Barnes. |
