Mid and West Wales Fire Service said they were called to help the victims on the road between Carmarthen and Alltwallis at 0352 GMT on Sunday. Fire crews were called to the scene between Carmarthen and Alltwallis at 0352 GMT on Sunday where driver Mark Miller, 20 from Pencader died.
Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them. Chelsea Leigh Lewis, 20, from Llechryd, Cardigan who was a passenger also died.
The A485 was closed in both directions until Sunday afternoon and a diversion was in place between Windy Corner and Pontarsais. Another passenger was taken to hospital but has since been released following treatment. Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them.
