Sydenham stabbing: Two more youths charged with murder

Two boys have been charged with murdering an 18-year-old man in south-east London, bringing the total number accused to five.

James Hunter was stabbed to death on Wells Park Road in Sydenham on 31 May.

Police had been called to the street where there were reports of a fight. Mr Hunter died at the scene.

A 15-year-old from Lewisham and a 17-year-old from Sydenham were charged on Saturday night and are due to appear at Bromley Youth Court on Monday.

Earlier, two 16-year-olds from South Norwood and Catford appeared at the same court and were remanded into custody.

On 4 June, a 17-year-old appeared in court and he has also been remanded into custody to appear, along with the two 16-year-olds, at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Four other boys were arrested in connection with the attack, which also saw another youth stabbed.

Detectives said two teenagers have been released and will face no further action, but a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old have been bailed until later in the month.
