A 41-year-old man has been stabbed to death at a holiday park in Saltcoats in North Ayrshire. A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man at a holiday park in Saltcoats in North Ayrshire.
Police Scotland were called to reports of a disturbance at Sandylands Holiday Park, in James Miller Crescent, at about 23:35 on Thursday. A 41-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a disturbance at Sandylands Holiday Park, in James Miller Crescent, at about 23:35 on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for the force said emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland said a 28-year-old man had been detained.
It is understood that officers are following a positive line of inquiry in relation to the man's death. He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday.
