A man is appearing in court on charges related to the death of Vicky Hamilton, who went missing in 1991. A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of teenager Vicky Hamilton, who went missing in 1991.
Vicky's remains were found at a house in Kent by police investigating the disappearance of another missing girl. Peter Tobin, 61, appeared in private at Linlithgow Sheriff Court.
Peter Tobin, who once lived at the property, was charged in July over the 15-year-old's disappearance. Vicky's remains were found at a house in Margate, Kent, where he once lived. Police had been investigating the disappearance of another missing girl.

There was a sizeable police presence as Mr Tobin arrived and a large number of people watched as he was led into the rear of the building by prison escort staff. Vicky's father Michael and other relatives gathered at the court.

Vicky's uncle Eric Hamilton told reporters outside: "All I can say is that Mike is happy that the long road is nearly at an end. There was a sizeable police presence as the accused arrived and some members of the public who had gathered outside the court shouted abuse as he was led into the rear of the building by prison escort staff.
