The death of a 43-year-old woman in Renfrewshire is being treated as suspicious, police have said. A 54-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a 43-year-old woman in Renfrewshire.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was found seriously injured at a property in Ewing Road, Lochwinnoch, at about 23:45 on Monday. Mary Craig died following an incident at a house in Ewing Road, Lochwinnoch on Monday.
Emergency services attended but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was found by the emergency services after they were called to the scene at about 22:45.
A post mortem examination will be held to establish how the woman died. It is understood that officers are following a definite line of inquiry. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal. The man is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
