It is likely to take two months before Malawi has an official result for its chaotic May 20 presidential election, as the Malawi Electoral Commission must manually count the votes, a senior official said Monday. The High Court on Saturday overturned President Joyce Banda’s decree to nullify the election. Ms. Banda claimed that the vote was marred by fraud and irregularities.
