Three charged over Broadstone building society robbery plot

Three men have been charged with plotting to rob a building society in Dorset after police shot out the tyres of a car outside the premises.

They men, aged 37, 40 and 48, have been charged with conspiracy to rob the Nationwide Building Society in Broadstone on Thursday.

Armed police shot out the tyres of the car at the Lower Blandford Road branch.

The men, from Broadstone, Poole and Manchester, will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court later.
