Fire crews are tackling a blaze at the A-listed Glasgow School of Art in the centre of the city. | |
An eyewitness said the fire appeared to have started in the basement of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh building in Renfrew Street just before 12:30. | |

Art school chef Austin Yuill told BBC Scotland he had been evacuated from the art school's new Reid Building, which sits opposite the Charles Rennie MacKintosh building. | |
He said the whole north-facing side of the building was "pretty much alight", with smoke and flames billowing out all of the first-floor and top-floor windows. | |
"One whole window has completely cracked and fallen out the rest are beginning to crack as well," he added. | |
