Drugs worth almost 500,000 euro have been found by a fishing boat trawling off the west coast of Ireland.

Two bales of cannabis, which weighed 60kg, got caught in the nets of the Donegal-based vessel.

The discovery was made close to the area where another trawler found 261kgs of cannabis on 17 September.

The find is being investigated by customs officers.
