(35 minutes later)
Second woman arrested on suspicion of assault after Panorama investigation into Essex care home A second woman has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a resident at an Essex care home following and undercover Panorama investigation.
More to follow. Last month's broadcast appeared to show residents being taunted, roughly handled and ignored at the Old Deanery in Braintree.
A woman in her 30s was arrested at her home in Braintree and has been released on police bail until the end of July.
Seven staff members have been sacked from the home since the broadcast.
On 3 May, a woman in her 40s also from Braintree, was arrested as part of the same inquiry and released on bail.
After the documentary was aired, the company released a statement which said the incidents only involved a small number of staff.
It added that behaviour of this kind was not tolerated.
The 93-bed home is run by Anglia Retirement Homes Ltd and costs up to £700 a week.
