'High winds' cause Caversham power cut

More than 700 homes in Caversham, Berkshire, were affected by the two-hour failure from noon. Southern Electric said it was expecting high winds to cause problems across its network during the day. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind for south-west England and south and west Wales, where gale force gusts up to 60mph are expected. |
