A man has been killed in a road accident involving two vehicles on the A90 at Stracathro, near Brechin. A man who died after a road accident on the A90 at Stracathro, near Brechin, has been named by police.
Tayside Police said the collision, which happened at about 0715 GMT, involved a Land Rover and a van, both travelling northbound. Dean Grilli, 39, from Dundee was killed after the small Ford van he was driving collided with a Land Rover at 0715 GMT. The female driver of the Land rover was treated for shock by ambulance crews at the scene.
The male van driver, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident resulted in the southbound carriageway of the road being closed until 1230 GMT as accident investigators examined the area.

Diversions have been put in place on the southbound section of the road at Northwaterbridge and Montrose, and northbound at the scene.
