One neighbour said: "There was such a commotion this morning. | |
"I counted three or four police cars and three ambulances. Straight away you could tell something was wrong. | |
"To hear there are two children involved is very sad." | |
Shaftsbury councillor Bob Poole said the community was in shock. | |
"It really is a lovely place to live and the people there are salt of the earth," he said. | |
"I just hope the two children were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and haven't come to any harm." | |
Police were continuing house to house inquiries on Wednesday afternoon and the cul-de-sac remains cordoned off. |
