Textile factory jobs under threat Textile workers 'made redundant'

About 70 jobs are under threat at a textile company in Newtownards, County Down. Workers at Regency Spinning in Newtownards have told the BBC they are to be made redundant.
The Transport and General Workers' Union claims Regency Spinning is now in receivership, but management have not commented publicly. The company's management has said they are not currently not available for comment.
On Thursday, staff claimed they were told to down tools and leave for the day. None of them know if they still have jobs. It is expected that the 70 people employed at the Comber Road textile factory will lose their jobs in the coming weeks.
