He was a member of the Royal Irish Regiment. Soldiers from the Royal Irish Regiment formed a guard of honour along with Royal British Legion members.

The funeral will take place at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church. After a private family service at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church, the funeral cortege moved to Ballywillan Cemetary where Mr McNeill was buried with full military honours.
The soldiers' family said his life had been dedicated to the Royal Irish Regiment.
In a statement, one of his three brothers - Jason - said he was a much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend and touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
