Hit-and-run victim is 'critical'

A man in his early 20s is critically ill in hospital following a hit-and-run incident in Newry, County Down.

It happened on the Warrenpoint Road at the Greenbank roundabout at about 2015 GMT on Monday.

Another man in his early 20s was also struck by the car, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives trying to trace the driver said the front of the silver car would have been severely damaged. They have appealed for information.
