Inverness Caledonian Thistle has said it will keep player Richie Hart on its books following his conviction for possessing cocaine.

The 29-year-old midfielder was suspended by the SPL club after his appearance at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Police officers thought Hart was acting suspiciously in his BMW car and found cocaine placed on a CD at the Rock Ness Festival in June.

He admitted a charge of possessing cocaine and was fined £300.

The Highland club has issued a statement on Hart's future.

It said: "Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC have completed their assessment of the situation relating to their player Richard Hart, who has been suspended since admitting a drug offence at Inverness Sheriff Court.

"Hart has been subjected to internal disciplinary measures. His suspension has been lifted and he returned to training today."
