The body was found in an unnamed lane behind Low Street in the harbour area of the town on Sunday morning. Cameron Hendry, 67, was found in the harbour area of the town on Sunday morning.
Police said the man appears to be in his 60s and officers are trying to establish his identity. He was discovered at about 0730 GMT by a dog walker on the former railway line at the rear of Low Street.
