More than 900 workers losing their jobs at a County Londonderry computer company are to receive details of the redundancy terms being offered to them. Nine hundred workers at Seagate in Limavady have been given details of their redundancy packages.
Staff at Seagate in Limavady were told on Monday they were losing their jobs. It understood they have each been offered six weeks pay for every year they have worked at the plant, but only if they stay until July.
Seagate, which has received £12m from Invest Northern Ireland and its predecessor IDB since 2001, will close in the second half of next year. If they leave their jobs before then, they will get four weeks pay for every year they have been employed at the factory.
Seagate is closing its Limavady plant in the second half of next year.

Politicians met with company management on Monday night to hear details of the packages on offer to employees.
East Londonderry assembly member George Robinson said he hoped the company would offer employees redundancy packages which reflected their hard work and loyalty.
"We are fairly confident from a management point of view that they will do their best to look after each and every worker," the DUP representative said.
