A woman who killed her disabled daughter reported several cases of anti-social behaviour before setting fire to her car, police said. A woman who murdered her disabled daughter and then herself by setting fire to her car had previously reported several cases of anti-social behaviour.
Fiona Pilkington, 38, apparently murdered her daughter Francesca Hardwick and killed herself on Tuesday in a lay-by in Leicestershire. Fiona Pilkington, 38, and her daughter Francesca Hardwick, who was 18, died in the blaze on a lay-by in Leicestershire on Tuesday.
Officers said post-mortem examinations had confirmed no-one else was involved in the blaze. Three people have been arrested for anti-social behaviour in the village of Barwell, where the pair lived.
The pair's family said they were "devastated" by the deaths. The arrests were not connected to the inquiry into the deaths, police said.

A file containing the results of the police investigation was being prepared for the coroner, police said. A force spokeswoman said officers and the local council had been working together to eradicate the problems in the Bardon Road area.
She said: "While we can confirm that Fiona Pilkington had reported several incidents of anti-social behaviour to the police, we must stress that there is no connection between those arrests and Fiona or Francesca, or indeed the investigation into their deaths."
