Monika Szmecht, 20, was burned and dumped in a lay-by Rainford, Merseyside, in June and died later. Philip Savin, 29, of Chester Avenue, Bootle, and David Clarke, 45, of Walton village are charged with murder. They are due before St Helens magistrates. Anthony Clarke, 26, of Halsey Crescent, West Derby, has already pleaded not guilty to a murder charge. His trial is due to start in December at Liverpool Crown Court. Ms Szmecht managed to stagger to a nearby cottage and ask for help but collapsed and died in hospital a short time later. |
