Man stabbed in city centre attack Three stabbed in city murder bids

A 20-year old man was stabbed in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning. Three men have been stabbed in two separate incidents in Glasgow.
The victim spoke to another two men and a woman at the lane near to the Watt Brothers store on the city's Hope Street at about 0320 BST. In the first attack, two men were knocked down by a 4x4 in Shettleston on Friday. The car's occupants then got out and stabbed them on the ground.
One of the men then chased him and stabbed him with a knife. In the second incident, a 20-year old man was chased and stabbed by a man he had spoken to in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of Saturday.
The man was taken to the Western Infirmary where he is currently in a serious but stable condition. Police have appealed for witnesses. Strathclyde Police said it was treating both attacks as attempted murder and issued appeals for information.
The suspect, described as a white man aged about 21, who was 5ft 9in tall, of chubby build, with brown spiky hair. The Shettleston incident took place shortly after 1100 BST in Brockville Street.
Two men, aged 44 and 45, were walking on the pavement when the car mounted the kerb and knocked them down.
'Serious' condition
They were then stabbed as they lay on the ground.
The men were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where their conditions were described as serious.
The attackers were described as white males, of stocky build, who were in their 30s.
The second incident took place in the city centre at about 0320 BST on Saturday.

Det Con Frost urged anyone who was in the area at about 0300 BST to come forward.
"I would also appeal to the man and woman who were with the suspect to come forward," he said.
"They may not realise the severity of this and I would ask them to listen to their conscience and contact police."
