Version 0 of 1.

The controversial French comedian Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala has been barred from entering Britain because of his extreme views, the Home Office said Monday. Mr. M’Bala M’Bala has been repeatedly convicted in France for inciting racial hatred, and his shows have been banned in several French towns. He has been criticized more recently for having invented the quenelle, a gesture that resembles a Nazi salute and carries anti-Semitic overtones, critics say. He says the gesture is social criticism, not aimed at any particular group. A spokeswoman for the Home Office said that Mr. M’Bala M’Bala was subject to an exclusion order, citing “public policy or public security reasons.”
