A teenager questioned about the murder of Polish care worker Magda Pniewska has been released on bail.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested in Lewisham, south-east London, on Wednesday night.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said he was the seventh person to be held in connection with the murder.

Ms Pniewska, 26, was shot and killed when she was caught in crossfire between two gunmen at New Cross Gate railway station on 2 October.

She was on the phone to her sister Elzbirta in Poland when she was hit near the nursing home where she worked.

Two men are also on bail in connection with the killing and another 17-year-old arrested in connection with the murder has been charged with the attempted murder of a man.
