Man 'exposed himself' to children
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/northern_ireland/7048945.stm Version 0 of 1. An Armagh man committed acts of gross indecency towards children as young as four, the High Court has heard. Police mounted a covert operation after concerns about the behaviour of a man using the swimming pool at Coleraine leisure centre on Saturdays. Robert William Mollan, 48, from Langs Road, was later charged with 10 counts of gross indecency. A Crown lawyer alleged that while Mr Mollan was in the changing area he exposed himself. Bail was granted. During his bail application, Lord Justice Girvan asked if there was mixed changing and was told it was a male changing area but the children were present because they were with their fathers. A defence lawyer said Mr Mollan's business would be crushed if he was kept in custody and he was prepared to lodge the deeds of the family home as a surety. Lord Justice Girvan released Mollan on his own bail of £1,000 with two sureties of £2,000 each. The judge banned him from entering any swimming pool, leisure centre or sports ground and said he must not be alone in the presence of a young person under the age of 14. |
