A date has been set for the trial of a man charged in connection with the £26.5m Northern Bank robbery in Belfast in 2004. Chris Ward, 26, from Colinmill, Poleglass, denies robbery and two further charges of false imprisonment at Belfast Crown Court. The trial will be held in September 2008 before a non-jury Diplock court. Mr Ward was released on bail before the trial, which the judge said "would be of some length". |
