Version 0 of 1.

Two grandmothers from West Yorkshire have been convicted of trespassing at a US spy base in North Yorkshire under new anti-terror laws.

Helen John, 69, and Sylvia Boyes, 63, from Keighley, entered the US military base Menwith Hill in Harrogate as part of a protest there in 2006.

Legislation now makes it an offence to trespass on designated MoD sites.

The pair were due to sentenced at Harrogate magistrates on Wednesday afternoon.
