Man killed after car hits shelter Man killed in shelter crash named

A man has died and another has been injured after the car they were in crashed into a bus shelter. A 28-year-old driver who died after a car crashed into a bus shelter has been named.
Both victims were in a Peugeot which hit the shelter in Aberdeenshire at about 0330 BST on Saturday morning. Storeman Baljit Singh Karam, of Torry, Aberdeen, was killed when his Peugeot hit the shelter on the A93 Aberdeen to Banchory Road, near Peterculter.
Grampian Police confirmed that a man was declared dead at the scene, on the A93 Aberdeen to Banchory Road, near to the village of Peterculter. The accident happened at about 0330 BST on Saturday morning.
A spokesman for the force said the road had been closed to allow accident investigators to study the scene. Grampian Police, appealing for witnesses, said a second man in the car was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.
