Man charged with stabbing murder

A man has been charged with murdering a woman who was stabbed to death at a house in north Manchester.

Nilom Rasool, 41, of Smedley Lane, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, was stabbed on Wednesday but died later.

She died from multiple stab wounds. A 38-year-old woman was also stabbed and is in a serious condition in hospital.

Goulam Rasool Mirza, 34, of Smedley Lane, has been charged with murder and attempted murder and will appear before magistrates in Manchester.
