The teenage boy, from Pantyffyon near Ammanford, is due to appear before magistrates in Llanelli later. The boy, from the Ammanford area, was arrested on Tuesday.
He appeared before Llanelli magistrates on Saturday where he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was remanded in custody to the town's youth court on Tuesday.
There was no application for bail.
