A man wanted for suspected child sex offences in Kent over the past two years has been made the subject of a European arrest warrant.

Police said Paul Anthony Bures, aged in his early 50s, was alleged to have committed 13 offences of rape and serious sexual assault on teenage boys.

He is believed to be in Spain, but he used to live in Kent and is known to sometimes visit relatives there.

The warrant for his arrest was obtained by Northumbria Police.

The force said an image of Mr Bures was being released as part of a wider and ongoing investigation being carried out into child sex offences "committed in the [north-east] region and other parts of the UK".

The hunt for him is also being featured on the Crimestoppers website, where he is featured on the Most Wanted pages.

He is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, and with grey hair.
