Version 0 of 1.

Police trying to trace the killer of a man who died days after being stabbed and put in a cupboard are looking for two youths seen near his home.

Les Ince, 80, was stabbed with a skewer at his house in St Ives Road, Walsall, West Midlands, six months ago.

The two youths were seen in the area in the week before his attack.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said there was a lack of obvious motive for such a violent attack on an elderly man in his own home.

'Who and why'

Posters are being put up in the area asking "who and why" over Mr Ince's death.

Police said they had so far interviewed more than 300 witnesses and seized 1,100 exhibits.

Det Ch Insp Matthew Ward said: "The murder has received widespread media coverage and I would again urge anybody who has knowledge about the attack to make contact with police."

The two youths are described as teenagers, one white and one black, both wearing baseball caps.

The white youth wore a black waist-length coat.

Mr Ince was found on 21 February after his son was unable to get into his home and flagged down a passing police car to help.

He died in hospital on 6 April.

His family have made pleas for anyone with information to come forward.
