Version 0 of 1.

Detectives in Dublin are trying to establish the identity of a woman who turned up at a police station with no idea who she is.

The woman presented herself at Store Street Garda Station on Sunday morning, carrying a chihuahua dog.

She has no identification, but has an American/Canadian accent and can speak French.

She is described as being in her mid 30s, 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and brown collar-length hair.

The woman was wearing a black skirt and top with a black trench coat, leopardskin pattern shoes and a multi-coloured head scarf.

There are three tattoos on her body, two of Arabic-style writing on her left upper arm and back of her neck. She also has a Celtic design tattoo on the back of one of her legs.

She is currently staying in hospital, and it is understood detectives believe she may be French-Canadian.

However, she cannot recall any personal details about herself.

Police appealed for anyone who may have an idea about her identity to contact them.
