Tama Siby, 26, was planning to sue Ramsay, his company and two of his chefs for unfair dismissal and race and religious discrimination. Mr Siby worked at the TV celebrity chef's flagship Gordon Ramsay restaurant in Chelsea, west London. His lawyer Shah Qureshi said: "My client has reached a settlement with Gordon Ramsay." He did not disclose the terms of the settlement, saying the terms of the agreement were confidential. It is understood Mr Siby's original claim was for £50,000 in damages to cover an alleged unlawful deduction of wages, injury to feelings and loss of earnings. The Chelsea eatery was recently named the "top gastronomic experience" in Harden's London Restaurants Guide 2008. |
