A reconstruction of a murdered woman's last known movements will be held on Thursday morning - a week after she disappeared while out walking her dog. Police have reconstructed the last known movements of a 24-year-old murdered hairdresser, a week after she went missing.
The body of 24-year-old hairdresser Kelly Hyde from Ammanford, was found in woodland near her home on Sunday. Kelly Hyde left her car at Brynteg Garage in Tycroes, Carmarthenshire, for repairs and set out to walk home with her dog Scrappy last Thursday.
On Wednesday, police were given another 36 hours to question a 16-year-old from Pantyffynnon over her death. Her body was found in woodland off a bridle path in Pantyffynnon near Ammanford on Sunday.
Murder detectives hunting Ms Hyde's killer are also looking for the weapon used to beat her around the head. A woman dressed like her and walking Scrappy recreated the journey.
Dyfed-Powys Police said they believed the evidence they needed would be close to the bridle pathway where Ms Hyde's body was found and are appealing for more information regarding the murder weapon. Supt Alun Harries, of Dyfed-Powys Police, said: "Kelly was much loved by her family and friends and we hope today's reconstruction will encourage people to come forward and piece together her last few hours.
Detectives are expected to start the reconstruction outside Brynteg Garage, Tycroes in Carmarthenshire, where Ms Hyde had left her car last Thursday morning. "I'm appealing for anyone who has any information regarding Kelly's murder to contact us.
It is believed she took her black and tan dog Scrappy, a whippet, for a walk after dropping off her car. I would rather be told a piece of information 100 times than to miss something that could be key to our investigation Supt Alun Harries

Her housemates reported her missing when she did not arrive home that night. "I would rather be told a piece of information 100 times than to miss something that could be key to our investigation."
The following day, Scrappy was found wandering in the area of woodland in which Ms Hyde's body was found two days later. Before setting off police and journalists held a minute's silence for Kelly at the garage forecourt.
In a statement released by her family, Ms Hyde, who worked as a trainee hairdresser in Llanelli, was described as a "wonderful warm, sensitive and creative girl with a vibrant personality". Jigsaw
They added that she was "a lover of life and made every effort to live life to the full". Supt Harries said a 16-year-old boy remained in custody in connection with the investigation.
He said police had yet to recover any weapon and forensic examinations were continuing.
"We've had a lot of very good information from the local community and one of the reasons we are here today is to reconstruct Kelly's last movements with a view to just reminding people we are very much still looking for any bit of information whatsoever for the final part of the jigsaw."
