Police are still seeking a 21-year-old man in connection with the case. West Midlands Police are seeking a man, aged 21, in connection with the case.
A post-mortem examination revealed Shane died from drowning.
West Midlands Police said he died following an incident which happened at the Lunt Pool on Saturday.
Police are also appealing for witnesses to an incident on Sunday 16 September in which they said a young boy may have been forced to get into the same pond at Bilston.
West Midlands Police have set up a text service for young people who may have information about either incident to contact them.
