Two men face weapons find charges Pair remanded over weapons find

Two men have been charged with weapons offences after what police described as proactive searches in west Belfast's Shankill area. Two men arrested during planned police searches in west Belfast's Shankill area have appeared in court.
One of the men is charged with possession of explosives in suspicious circumstances and the other with having ammunition in suspicious circumstances. David William Harris, 33, of Dover Court, was charged with possessing a pipe bomb.
The searches were in Dover Street and Ambleside Street on Saturday morning. William Madine, 20, of Ambleside Stret, was accused of having 141 rounds of ammunition.
The pair, aged 20 and 33, are expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later on Monday. In both cases, the defendants were accused of having the items in suspicious circumstances. They were remanded in custody.
