A man has been arrested after a chase lasting nearly an hour in reed beds on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. A man has been released on bail by police investigating a series of armed robberies, after his arrest following an hour-long chase through reed beds.

Three officers aided by specialist dog units went into the water after the man fled from his car which had crashed and overturned on the A1101. Armed robberies at addresses in Norfolk and the Fens are being investigated by Norfolk's Major Investigation Team.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old woman from the Huntingdon area, suffered slight injuries when the vehicle overturned.
She has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident, pending further inquiries.

A 24-year-old woman from the Huntingdon area who received slight injuries when the car overturned was assessed by paramedics at the scene. The man also received medical attention before being questioned by police.
She has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody in a police station in Norfolk. A property in Huntingdon has been searched in relation to the investigation.
