Gang attacks man with iron bars

A man in his 60s has suffered leg injuries after he was beaten by a gang wielding iron bars.

The man answered a knock at the door of his house at Castlepark, Moss Side, Coleraine, at 2050 BST on Saturday evening.

The gang beat him with bars about the body and legs. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for leg injuries.

Detectives are working to establish a motive for the attack. They have appealed for information.
