Man's body found washed ashore

A man's body has been found washed up on a beach, police said.

Officers were alerted after the body was discovered on the shoreline near Crail in Fife at about midday on Saturday.

The man has yet to be formally identified but he is believed to be a missing person from the Tayside area.

Tayside Police said the next of kin had been informed but no other details were available yet. The man's name has not yet been released.
