Version 0 of 1.

The search has begun again for a 24-year-old woman who disappeared after going to walk her dog three days ago.

Police, mountain rescue teams, a helicopter and sniffer dogs have been involved in the hunt for Kelly Hyde, of Ammanford, Carmarthenshire.

She was last seen on Thursday morning in Tycroes and her dog, a whippet, was found nearby the next day.

Her parents and Dyfed-Powys Police have appealed for information amid fears she may have fallen while out walking.

Ms Hyde, who works part-time at a Wetherspoon's pub in Llanelli, went missing after leaving her red Rover car at the Brynteg garage in Pontarddulais Road, Tycroes, at about 0900 BST on Thursday.

She was walking her black and tan whippet, Scrappy, and heading towards Ammanford, through the old coal washeries area.

Chief Insp Ian John said the discovery of Scrappy added to their concern as she was "devoted" to her dog.

Busy main road

Police and mountain rescue teams are searching for Kelly Hyde, who has not been seen since Thursday morning.

Kelly Hyde is thought to have been wearing this jacket on Thursday

Her parents, Barbara and Andy, of Cefneithin, have asked anyone with information, no matter how apparently insignificant, to contact police.

Mrs Hyde said the fact that the dog was found without a lead suggested her daughter may have let it run while they were walking in the open country.

"Possibly the dog had run off after a rabbit or something, and she ran after it and she's taken a fall," said Mrs Hyde.

Police want anyone who might have seen her on the busy main road early on Thursday, or at any time after that, to get in touch.

She is white, 5ft 2in, slim with light brown/blonde hair worn in a bob style and was wearing a black puffa jacket with a fur collar hood.

Ms Hyde grew up in Cwmgwili and moved to Pantyffynon, Ammanford, to share a home with two friends six months ago.

Anyone with information or who may have seen her since Thursday morning is asked to contact police on 0845 330 2000.
