A student has appeared in court charged with stabbing a doctor to death in her car on the driveway of her Kent home. | |
David Quartey, 21, of Humber Road, Dartford, is accused of murdering Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, who worked at St Thomas's Hospital in London. | |
The consultant paediatrician was found by her son outside her home in Teynham Road, Dartford, on 14 August. | |
Mr Quartey was remanded in custody until 12 October by magistrates in Sittingbourne on Saturday. | |
He is then due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court | |
The student was arrested by Kent Police on Wednesday and charged on Friday night with Dr Anyetei's murder. | |
Dr Anyetei, who was divorced, moved to England from Ghana in 1996, and had worked as a doctor for about 20 years. |
